Outcome Imps: Using evidence to improve outcomes

Move project

The MOVE project is funded by the BIG Lottery and aims to provide enhanced opportunities for young people at risk of offending through a one-to-one mentoring and befriending service.  A MOVE mentor is a trained volunteer who meets regularly with the young person for up to one year.  Their role is to support the young person to achieve their goals in a number of areas including: personal and social development, numeracy and literacy skills, education, training or employment, and community participation.

Outcome Imps is undertaking a process and outcomes evaluation of the MOVE mentoring project.  This includes analysing information already collected by NIACRO on the young people's progress and outcomes, as well as collecting new information from young people using creative storyboard techniques, from their families, mentors and NIACRO staff.

Outcome Imps is undertaking a process and outcomes evaluation of the Specialist Apprenticeship programme.  This includes analysing information already collected by CITBNI on participation in training, progress and outcomes, as well as collecting new information from the trainees, trainers, mentors, ambassadors and CITBNI staff.
